Description

Lake of the Woods District Hospital (LWDH) Medical Laboratory Technologists work within a fast-paced team environment and ensure quality patient care is provided across all disciplines. This exciting role offers a variety of working environments including frontline opportunities to engage with patients throughout the hospital and also to perform integral behind the scenes components of patient care.

Qualifications

  • Current valid registration with the CMLTO, with the specialties of Hematology, Transfusion Science, Biochemistry, and Microbiology listed
    • Histology specialty is preferred but not required
  • Successful completion of an accredited MLT training program
  • Successful completion of the CSMLS national exam or the CAMPLR national exam under the MLT Core Lab and Clinical Microbiology examination bundle or the MLT General bundle
  • Must have successfully passed all disciplines as outlined
  • Previous experience in the laboratory disciplines and phlebotomy an asset
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Reliable attendance record
